Well, after monkeying with Apo 3D, then finally figuring it out, then trying to render and getting screwed, then trying to render a different way and still getting screwed, I've finally (about a week and a half later) got something to show for it. And even now, in my triumphant moment, it's fuzzy cuz the renderer was weird.. I'm sorry.. Hate me if you want.

I guess it's a sort of faerie ring..
